*Vitamin B9 is a critical fertility and pregnancy nutrient, which comes in many forms, including folic acid, folinic acid, and methyltetrahydrofolate. These different forms vary in quality and bioavailability. Folic acid is a synthetic form of B9. Folinic acid and other methylated forms of folate are biologically active. Folinic acid is the form of folate methylated found in food, which then needs to be converted to methyltetrahydrofolate in the body to be used by the body. The innovative Prime Methylated Folate is made of methyltetrahydrofolate. Methyltetrahydrofolatethe is the converted, usable folinic acid form of methylated folate. By already converting folinic acid into methyltetrahydrofolate, Prime Methylated Folate is immediately bioavailable to be assimilated and used by the body.

Recommended Use: Take one capsule per day or as directed by your health-care practitioner. The Centers for Disease Control recommends a very high dosage of 4000 mcg daily during the primemester and the first trimester if there is a history of known or suspected neural tube defect or other abnormality in previous pregnancies or embryos. Scientific data suggest a very high dosage of 5000 mcg in the case of Chron’s disease or other inflammatory bowel disease interfering with nutrient absorption. To achieve dosages of 4000 to 5000 mcg requires 2-3 capsules per day (in addition to your Prime Prenatal and your Prime Methylated B Complex). High dosages as recommended by the CDC and/or scientific data must be cleared with your healthcare provider and taken under their guidance.
